OPEN’s research projects are assessing and improving the quality, outcomes and value of medication use as prioritized by Ontario’s Action Plan for Health Care.
Our research projects are creating a framework to assess pharmacist services and are evaluating both existing and emerging pharmacy services from the perspective of patients, pharmacists, prescribers and the healthcare system. OPEN has incorporated an extensive knowledge translation and exchange program into all stages of research and is addressing the needs of vulnerable patients, while building capacity in pharmacy practice and medication management research.
In addition to the research we conduct, OPEN also responds to applied health research questions or AHRQs.
