He is responsible for reporting, tracking program progress and project activities, donor relationship, deadlines and outcomes, and overseeing OPEN’s financial management. He also manages communication between program teams and with media, manages logistics and operations, and coordinates OPEN events.
Mansur brings extensive program management experience from his International Development background spanning over 20+ years. Recently, Mansur was working with Mennonite Economic Development Associates (MEDA) from 2012–2017, where he was responsible to support MEDA’s work in various projects within the Eastern, Southern and Central African (ESCA) programs region, mainly managing projects, maintaining donor, client and external relationships, design and implementation of internal and external consulting services and development of new business opportunities in coordination with the Senior Leadership.
In addition, Mansur was a key resource for MEDA’s Inclusive Financial Services technical assignments/projects. Before MEDA’s reorganization in creating ECSA, he led projects for MEDA in Afghanistan, Egypt, Morocco, Pakistan and Yemen. His past experience and roles include strategic leadership and direction to the microfinance sector in Afghanistan; Senior Executive roles in Commercial Banks in Afghanistan and Pakistan, Chief Financial Officer at a not-for-profit organization in Pakistan and audit trainee at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Pakistan.
Mansur received his Chartered Accountancy qualification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Pakistan), Master in Commerce (equivalence) and Bachelor of Commerce (University of Karachi). Mansur actively volunteers in the Kitchener-Waterloo community and has contributed his time and knowledge to projects of the Aga Khan Development Network.
