Linda leads the evaluation of Ontario’s MedsCheck and Pharmaceutical Opinion programs, an OPEN project that is assessing the effectiveness of several current pharmacist service programs. She is also a member of OPEN’s capacity building team and a member of the reach team that’s developing and assessing a pharmacist services evaluation framework.
Linda is an Associate Professor at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto, where teaches senior-level courses on the health systems context for pharmacy practice. Her research focuses on the evaluation of pharmacists’ medication therapy management services. This includes assessing the impact on economic and patient outcomes, as well as understanding factors at various levels — pharmacist, pharmacy and drug program — that influence pharmacy uptake of such services.
Linda received her BScPhm from the University of Toronto and a PhD in social and administrative pharmacy from the University of Arizona. She served on the Blueprint for Pharmacy’s financial viability and sustainability working group and was a founding member of CPhA’s Canadian Pharmacy Practice Research Group.
