Emily is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at MacEwan University (Alberta). She has a PhD from the University of Waterloo and her research focuses on social inequality, Indigenous peoples, education, policy and health.
Emily joined OPEN as a postdoctoral fellow and research coordinator, bringing her research skills and expertise to OPEN’s gender and vulnerable populations team as well as to the Pharmacists-as-immunizers and Mapping health geography data and pharmacy access projects. Now, as new faculty at MacEwan University, she continues to be involved in these projects as a researcher.
